Total mobility
assessments
The Total Mobility scheme provides subsidised door-to-door taxi services for people who cannot use public transport due to a disability. It’s funded by local and central government. Headway provides Total Mobility Assessments on behalf of Auckland Transport.
What to know
- Total Mobility customers get 75% off Total Mobility approved taxi fares.
- You must have an impairment preventing you from using public transport independently, and the impairment must last 6 months or more.
- The assessment is by appointment only and there is a one-off fee of $70.
- You must live in Auckland.
- You don’t need to bring any medical information with you, just basic ID.
- Headway does not do home visits.
