Why this matters

Concussion and brain injury are far more common than many realise, and the impacts often show up first in health and community settings. Yet without clear recognition and the right response, people can be misdiagnosed, miss out on treatment, or fall through the cracks of the system. For providers, this can mean repeated presentations, complex cases, and clients who struggle to recover.

With the right knowledge and strategies, your team can identify brain injury earlier, respond effectively, and connect clients to the right support. This not only improves outcomes for individuals but eases pressure on your organisation. Our training gives staff the practical skills and tools to make this possible.

Trusted by organisations across health, community, and workplace sectors

Our workshop with Headway was fantastic. Nicola covered so much scope from the science of the brain and brain injuries, to sensitively speaking about brain injuries, to practical strategies for making our community gardens safe and empowering spaces for people who have experienced a brain injury. She has a wealth of knowledge that she delivered in a really accessible way, and we were able to ask questions that came from our own experience. I feel that this workshop will inform so much more of my perspective and relationships outside of just people who have had brain injuries. I would highly recommend working with Headway to any organisation, regardless of who you work with or the work you do. I think that everyone will learn something and take something significant away.

The AECTP Board were thrilled to have Stacey Mowbray – Chief Executive at Headway and Nicola Cottle, Educator and Navigator at Headway as speakers for the AECTP 2025 Conference. Their presentation on concussion was insightful, inspiring, and exceptionally well-received by our attendees.  Many of our members commented on how educational the presentation was and that Stacey and Nicola presented so well together. We have received excellent feedback, highlighting the connection both ladies made with the audience. We would highly recommend Stacey and Nicola to any organisation looking for a speaker who can motivate, educate, and leave a lasting impression on their audience.
